Product Overview

This DIP dual-wavelength emitting diode is developed and packaged by Jiangmen Yiyang Infrared Semiconductor for pulse oximeter probes and fingertip pulse oximeters. A single device integrates a 660nm red light chip and a 905nm near-infrared chip inside a square flat-top transparent epoxy package. With a two-lead through-hole structure, it can be paired with the same series square PD receiver tube to form a complete pulse oximeter optical coupling module. The integrated dual-light source design eliminates the need for two separate LEDs, simplifies the internal structure of the probe, reduces size, and provides high wavelength consistency and uniform light intensity.

  • Soldering Standard Recommended soldering iron temperature should be ≤300℃, and each soldering time should be ≤3 seconds to avoid damaging the internal dual chips.
  • Polarity Identification The two leads are common anode and common cathode structures. Reverse connection is not allowed.
  • Circuit Drive Independent current-limiting resistors are recommended for the two chip paths to separately control red and infrared brightness and prevent overcurrent damage.
  • Optical Path Matching Use together with the matching square PD receiver tube and ensure full alignment between the emitting and receiving windows for better sampling accuracy.
